It was decided that the 'plant medicine' should be built to clean the water of the Thames before being pumped into the house. Treatment plant was also cleared of dirty water every home before returning to the River Thames. Not only public health improved, but also the water in the River Thames to be cleaner. In 1960 a new law was made to stop the plant let dirty water / waste they go to the river. Currently more than half of the sewage sludge London is sold in the form of pellets as fertilizer for agriculture.
